Website Use
You are welcome to browse this site, read our pages, and use the forms we provide for registration, sponsorship, and inquiries. In return, we ask that you use the site lawfully and in good faith.
Please do not attempt to interfere with the site or its security, use automated tools to scrape or harvest content or contact information, submit false or misleading information, impersonate another person or organization, or use anything on this site to harass or endanger anyone. We may restrict access to the site or to our services if any of these occur.
Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including logos, branding, graphics, design elements, photographs, video, page layouts, and original written materials, remains the property of Rainbow Crown Productions unless otherwise noted.
Copyright
Our content is protected by copyright. You may view it, share links to it, and print pages for your own personal or organizational reference. You may not copy, republish, redistribute, sell, or build derivative works from our content without written permission.
Some material on this site belongs to others, including national system branding, sponsor logos, and photography licensed or contributed by photographers and titleholders. Those materials remain the property of their respective owners and are used with permission. If you believe your work appears here without proper permission or credit, contact us and we will address it promptly.
Trademarks
Fancy America, Rainbow Crown Productions, and our associated names, logos, crowns, and design marks identify our organization and our programming. They may not be used without written permission in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, affiliation, or official status where none exists.
Miss Gay America, Miss Gay America Femme, Gay America Esquire, and related marks belong to the national system. We use them as an official preliminary under the terms granted to us, and our use does not transfer any rights to you.
How we treat each other
Code of Conduct
Everyone connected to Fancy America is expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully. That includes contestants, entertainers, judges, volunteers, staff, sponsors, vendors, guests, and anyone using this website.
The standard is simple. Treat people with dignity, on stage and off, in person and online.
Harassment, discrimination, threatening or intimidating behavior, and disruptive conduct are not acceptable at our events, in our venues, or in communication with our organization. Neither is conduct that endangers the safety of participants or guests, or that interferes with a production in progress.
Conduct of that kind may result in removal from an event, disqualification, denial of future participation, or termination of a business relationship, subject to applicable law, venue policies, and the rules of the national system. Decisions of this kind are made by the promoters and, where competition is involved, in accordance with the official handbook.
If something happens at one of our events that you need to report, tell a promoter or a member of our staff. We would rather hear about it during the event than after it.
Contestant Registration
Registering for a Fancy America competition is a request to compete, not an automatic entry. All registrations are subject to eligibility requirements, published deadlines, entry fees, available slots, and organizer approval where applicable.
Competition itself is governed by the official contestant handbook and the rules of the national system, not by this page. The handbook covers categories, scoring, prejudgment, talent requirements, timing, wardrobe, conduct at competition, and the responsibilities of a titleholder. Where anything on this website differs from the official handbook, the handbook controls.
By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, that you meet the stated eligibility requirements, and that you have read and agree to follow the handbook in effect for that competition. We may decline or withdraw a registration where eligibility is not met, where required paperwork or fees are not received by the deadline, or where conduct standards are not upheld.
Sponsorship Purchases
Sponsorships are offered in packages and are subject to availability. Some levels are limited by design, and availability can change between the time you view a page and the time your payment is received.
Sponsor recognition is provided according to the package purchased, including placement, size, and the channels where recognition appears. Recognition begins once payment is received and any required artwork has been submitted and approved. Deadlines matter here: materials received after a printing or production deadline may appear in digital placements only.
We reserve the right to decline a sponsorship where the association would conflict with our mission, our venue agreements, or the rules of the national system.
Program Advertising Purchases
Program book and digital advertising is sold by size and placement and is subject to availability and production deadlines. Ad space is confirmed once payment is received.
You are responsible for the artwork and copy you submit, including its accuracy, its legal right to be published, and its technical quality. We publish advertising substantially as submitted. We are not responsible for errors in materials you provide, and we cannot guarantee exact color reproduction in print. We may decline advertising that is unlawful, misleading, or inconsistent with the character of our programming.
Vendor Opportunities
Vendor space is limited and subject to availability, venue rules, and organizer approval. Vendors are responsible for their own licensing, permits, sales tax obligations, insurance where required, and the goods or services they sell.
A transaction between a vendor and a guest is between those two parties. Fancy America is not a party to it and is not responsible for the products, services, or conduct of any vendor.
Payment Processing
Payments may be processed securely through Square or other approved third-party payment providers. Payment processing is handled by those trusted services under their own security standards and terms.
Fancy America does not store your full card number, bank account number, or security codes. Prices are stated in U.S. dollars. A purchase is complete when payment is confirmed by the processor, and processing fees charged by a provider are not refundable by us.
How we handle the information tied to a purchase is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Refunds and Cancellations
Producing a pageant means committing to venues, printing, staffing, and production well before the doors open. For that reason, entry fees, sponsorships, advertising, and vendor fees are generally non-refundable once paid.
If we cancel an event outright and do not reschedule it, we will offer a refund or a credit toward a future event. If an event is postponed or moved, purchases carry over to the new date unless we state otherwise. Travel, lodging, and other personal costs are your own responsibility in every case.
Life happens, and we would rather talk than hide behind a policy. If your circumstances change, contact us as early as you can and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
Submission of Materials
When you send us headshots, biographies, logos, artwork, music, video, or written material for registration, promotion, sponsorship, or advertising, you confirm that you own it or have the right to give it to us, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
You keep ownership of what you submit. You give us permission to use, reproduce, resize, and display it in connection with our events, our promotion, our program materials, and our archives, in the formats and channels those uses require. Reasonable cropping, scaling, and formatting come with the territory.
We may decline to publish submitted material, and we may remove it, at our discretion. Please keep your own copies. We are not able to serve as a backup or storage service for your files.
On the record
Photography, Video, and Media Releases
Photography and Video
Official Fancy America events may be photographed or recorded. By attending, competing, working, performing, sponsoring, or vending at an official event or activity, you understand that you may appear in that media.
Media Releases
Media captured during official activities may be used by Rainbow Crown Productions and the Fancy America System for promotional, educational, historical, archival, or marketing purposes, unless otherwise required by law or governed by a separate written agreement.
Pageantry keeps its own history, and that history lives in photographs. Preserving the record of who competed, who won, and what a night looked like is part of what we do.
We recognize that some members of our community have real reasons to be careful about where their image appears. If you have a concern about a specific photograph or video, contact us. We will work with you where we reasonably can, and our Privacy Policy explains how we approach these requests. Please note that we do not control media captured by guests, press, or third parties at our events.
Third-Party Links
This site links to other websites, including the national system, sponsors, venues, ticketing and registration platforms, payment providers, and social media. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, their products, or their practices. Once you follow a link away from here, their terms and privacy policies apply.
Disclaimer
This website is provided on an as-is basis. We work to keep it accurate and current, but we do not warrant that every detail is complete, error free, or up to date at all times. Dates, venues, prize packages, pricing, categories, and schedules can change, and the official handbook and any signed agreement control over what appears here.
Nothing on this site is legal, financial, or professional advice.
Website Availability
We aim to keep the site online and working, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access. Hosting issues, maintenance, updates, and circumstances outside our control can all cause downtime. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rainbow Crown Productions, the Fancy America System, and their owners, staff, and volunteers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or from participation in our events, including lost profits, lost opportunities, or costs of travel and lodging.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific registration, sponsorship, advertising, or vendor purchase at issue. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Live entertainment carries ordinary risks, including crowds, lighting, sound levels, and the venue itself. Attend with reasonable care for yourself and the people around you.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising from these terms, this website, or our services will be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you agree to that venue.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as our programming, our technology, or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site or our services after an update means the current version applies. Registrations, sponsorships, and purchases already completed are governed by the terms and the official handbook in effect at the time of that transaction.
