Why compete
The year after the crown is the point.
Anyone can put on a gown and hit a mark. What we are looking for is harder to fake, and considerably more worth having once you own it.
Artistry
Bring us something only you could have made. Technique earns respect. A point of view earns the room.
Professionalism
Call time, paperwork, packet, prep. The contestants who go furthest treat the unglamorous parts as part of the craft.
Sportsmanship
You will be measured beside people who tend to become your closest friends. How you carry a loss says more than how you carry a win.
Growth
Every contestant leaves with scores, with notes, and with honest feedback. Placing is not the only reason to walk away better than you arrived.

Miss Gay Fancy America
The flagship title. A preliminary to the storied Miss Gay America, and a search for the queen who defines an era.
Division II
Miss Gay Fancy America Femme
Celebrating femme excellence. A preliminary to Miss Gay America Femme, built on grace, artistry, and presence.
Division III
Gay Fancy America Esquire
The premier Esquire title. A preliminary to Gay America Esquire, showcasing masculinity, talent, and regal presence.
Before you decide
Everything you need to know.
The handbooks are the real answer to most questions: eligibility, categories, scoring, prejudging, conduct, and what is expected of a titleholder during the reign. Read the one for your division before you commit. Nothing in it is designed to catch you out.

Who can compete
Fancy America is open to entertainers competing in the Miss, Femme, and Esquire divisions, whether this is your first preliminary or your tenth. You do not need a prior title to enter. Full eligibility requirements, including age, residency, and prior-title conditions, are set out in the official handbook for your division above. If anything in there is unclear, write to us before you register rather than after.

Orientation and Interview
Mandatory orientation for all registered contestants. Judging panel interviews are held throughout the day.
III
September 13, 2026
Competition and Crowning
The main event. All divisions compete, and the new titleholders are crowned at the close of the evening.
